ORDER WILLOW, HARDWOOD CUTTINGS, TREES AND SCION WOOD FOR SPRING 2025. LEATHER STUDIO OPEN BY APPOINTMENT THROUGH MARCH. SEE YOU AT MARKET IN APRIL - SCOTT
Elderberries can be rooted from hardwood cuttings in early spring. Start in pots as you would fig cuttings, or plant directly like willow. Elderberry roots well but is more sensitive to lack of moisture and weeds when rooting than willow. Once established elderberry will form a massive and hardy crown sending up dozens of canes each year. These varieties are all American Elderberry, and I cut them back to knee height each March to produce many new canes with the biggest flower heads. They will fruit earlier in the summer if you let them flower on old canes. Great for pollinators, birds, fragrant and useful flowers, and healthy delicious fruit. Elderberry can be rooted with a single node cutting with good care, I sell larger 2 node cuttings you can plant or cut in 2. Sold as a BUNDLE OF 3 CUTTINGS
Flat rate $9.00 shipping includes any amount of scion wood and cuttings.
