...in the last foothills of appalachia south of the finger lakes, down a back road, up a half mile driveway, a hidden farm appears in the forest, a living architecture of fruiting trees grown on ten acres of eroded, abandoned fields. This farm is about the power of trees to restore the soil, provide abundant good food, and create a landscape that inspires wonder. We love growing trees! Since 2013 we have grafted, grown out and harvested from over 4,000 trees in our orchards. Along the way we have collected and propagated over 200 cultivars of fruiting trees and shrubs. We believe humans need to live amongst trees just like we need shelter, and our mission is to grow and share the exceptional trees we have found, the gift to humanity of hundreds of generations of care and selection by past lovers of trees - Scott and Crystal Van Gaasbeck
