Adara is a hybrid plum rootstock that is compatible with all plums, and cherry. It is tolerant of heavy soils, and alkalinity. I like to use it as an interstem, about 5-6" long, grafted onto marianna 2624, under sweet cherry. You can chip bud the Adara on the rootstock, and bud the cherry on the Adara in late summer, or even try a double bench graft.
