Fish Creek is a new hybrid bred by SUNY ESF for biomass production. It is exceptionally vigorous, and is a great choice for stream bank stabilization and windbreaks. It also produces a large green rods, 6-8' tall, which could be used for living fences and large weaving projects. The rods are somewhat thinner and more numerous than the similar variety SX 61.
