SX 61 is an exciting new female hybrid bred by SUNY ESF in 1999 for biomass production. It is exceptionally vigorous, and is a great choice for stream bank stabilization and windbreaks. It also produces a large green rods, 6-8' tall, which could be used for living fences and large weaving projects.
