Mulberries are much hardier and easier to grow than cherries, and they are just as sweet and delicious! In our zone 5b/6 and colder, we can grow Morus alba, the white mulberry, although most trees actually make purple fruit!
Mulberries graft easily and many but not all varieties can be propagated by softwood cuttings. They are very fast growing and early to begin producing!
