LIBERTY is very disease resistant, an annual bearer, requires little pruning, is great for sweet and hard cider, and keeps for several weeks. Flavor is tart/sweet, traditional apple mac type with hints of grape when really ripe. Texture is firm, crisp, not very juicy. Akane has superior flavor but Liberty is close and yields twice as much.
