Spigold is an older cross of northern spy and golden delicious. Ripens late midseason. Very large yellow apple with a lot of red blush. Very pretty. Flavor excellent, similar to spy but a bit sweeter while still quite tart. Crisp grainy yellow flesh. Stores several months. Large vigorous tree, like spy.
