ZESTAR APPLE TREE

Zestar is a great newer early midseason variety.   Apples are large and attractive, green with an orange blush, very round.   Early bearer.  The flesh is very juicy and has a consistency between honeycrisp and macintosh, meaning not hard, but also with some crispness.   The flavor is rich and sweet with strong notes of dark honey or molasses, not tart.  Heavy setter requires thinning for annual bearing.  This variety blooms a very long time, overlapping almost every other variety, and the blooms are very large and showy!
